On delivery you do not only get a working website or application, but everything needed to continue without us. That is not an add-on and costs nothing extra — it is simply yours.
We earn from building and from the maintenance you choose to take. Not from holding your access hostage.
- The domain name is registered to you as the holder — not to us with you as a contact person.
- The source code is yours, including the right to have someone else modify it.
- The data — customers, orders, enquiries — is exportable in a readable format.
- The accounts for hosting, analytics and email are on your email address.
- The documentation describes what was built, so a successor can take it over.
WHERE IT GOES WRONG
Four constructions where you own less than you think
None of these models is a scam — they are just rarely explained at the moment you sign. So ask about them, even if you do not work with us.
MODEL 1
The subscription website
No setup cost, but a fixed monthly fee. Stop paying and the site stops. You did not buy the site, you rented it — and after three years you have often paid more than a one-off build would have cost.
MODEL 2
The closed admin panel
Your site runs on the builder's own CMS. Fine while the relationship lasts, but another party cannot continue with it. In practice that means rebuilding if you want to switch.
MODEL 3
The platform
Website builders where your site only exists inside their system. The content is portable, the site is not. Your design, integrations and speed belong to the platform, not to you.
MODEL 4
The domain in someone else's name
The most awkward variant, because you discover it only when you want to move. Check with your current supplier who is registered as the holder — that information is publicly available.

About ownership and switching
Do I really get the source code?
Yes. On delivery you receive the full source code plus documentation. You may have it modified by anyone, including another party. We charge nothing for handover.
What happens to my site if I cancel maintenance?
Nothing. The site keeps working. You only lose the updates, monitoring and backups we provided. You can pick maintenance up again later or move it elsewhere.
Can I take my domain name with me?
Yes, always. The domain is in your name, so you can request a transfer code at any time. We cooperate without cost or delay.
Do I have to host with you?
No. Our hosting from €19 per month is an offer, not a condition. If you want to stay with your current host or move elsewhere, we make sure the site runs there.
Who owns the data in my customer portal?
You do. We only process that data to make the system work, which we record in a data processing agreement. You can export it at any time in a readable format.
