You own your website.
Domain, code, data and accounts are registered in your name. Sounds logical, but in this profession it is the exception rather than the rule: and you only notice it when you want to leave.
THE PROMISE
What exactly you have in your hands
Upon completion, you will not only receive a working website or application, but also everything you need to continue with it without us. That's not an extra service and doesn't cost anything extra: it's just yours.
We earn money from construction and maintenance that you voluntarily purchase. Not holding your access hostage.
- The domain name is in your name, with you as the holder: not in our name with you as the contact person.
- The source code is yours, including the right to have it modified by someone else.
- The dates — customers, orders, requests: is exportable in a readable format.
- The accounts for hosting, analytics and email are available at your email address.
- The documentation describes what has been built, so that a successor can take over.
WHERE IT GOES WRONG
Four constructions where you own less than you think
None of these models are scams: they're just rarely explained at the time you sign. So ask about it, even if you don't work with us.
CONSTRUCTION 1
The subscription website
No start-up costs, but a fixed amount per month. If you stop paying, the site will stop. You did not buy the site but rented it: and after three years you have often paid more than a one-time construction would have cost.
CONSTRUCTION 2
The closed management panel
Your site runs on the builder's own CMS. That's fine as long as the collaboration continues, but another party cannot continue with it. In practice, this means: rebuild if you want to switch.
CONSTRUCTION 3
The platform
Website builders where your site only exists within their system. The content is portable, not the site. Your design, your connections and your speed belong to the platform, not to you.
CONSTRUCTION 4
The domain in someone else's name
The most annoying variant, because you only discover it when you want to move. Check with your current supplier who is registered as a holder - this can be publicly requested.
THE COMPARISON
What the models mean if you want to leave
| What you get | Subscription | Platform | AgentsLabs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Domain in your own name | sometimes | sometimes | always |
| Source code in possession | no | no | yes |
| Data exportable | limited | partially | completely |
| Site continues to work after cancellation | no | no | yes |
| The other party can continue | no | limited | yes |
| Monthly fees required | yes | yes | no |

TRANSFER
Stuck with your current supplier? That's often not too bad
We regularly transfer sites and systems. In most cases, the situation is less desperate than it seems: and even if rebuilding is necessary, it does not have to be more expensive than continuing to pay.
- Step 1: figuring out what's yours. We check for free who is on the domain and what is exportable.
- Step 2: secure data. We remove customers, orders and texts before anything changes.
- Step 3: Transfer without downtime. The new environment is ready before the domain moves.
- Step 4: hold positions. Redirects from old to new URLs, so that your findability does not drop.
- We build without page builders — just HTML, CSS and JavaScript that every developer can read.
- No mandatory subscription — hosting and maintenance are a choice, not a requirement.
- Can be canceled monthly — what you do purchase is never tied to an annual contract.
- Documentation upon delivery — including an explanation of the links we have built.
- Assistance upon departure — if you decide to go, we will hand over properly.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
About ownership and switching
Will I actually get my hands on the source code?
Yes. Upon delivery you will receive the complete source code plus documentation. You can have it adjusted by anyone, even by another party. We do not charge a fee for transfer.
What happens to my site if I cancel maintenance?
Nothing. The site continues to work as usual. You only miss the updates, monitoring and backups that we provided. You can pick up the maintenance later or outsource it to another party.
Can I take my domain name with me?
Yes, always. The domain is in your name, so you can request a transfer code at any time. We will cooperate without costs or delay.
Do you have to host yourself?
No. Our hosting from €19 per month is an offer, not a condition. If you want to stay with your current host or move to another party, we will ensure that the site runs there.
Who owns the data in my customer portal?
You. We only process that data to make the system work, which we also record in a processing agreement. You can export at any time in a readable format.
Know what you now real property?
Send your domain name and we will find out for free how you are doing: with no obligation to switch.
