How much does custom software cost?
One well-defined process with a simple interface starts at €2,950. A portal with login, multiple roles and links is usually between €8,000 and €20,000. After a thirty-minute conversation we will give a fixed price.
When do you advise against custom development?
If an existing package covers roughly eighty percent of your process. Solving that last twenty percent with custom development almost always costs more than it yields, and we say that in the first conversation.
Do I get the source code?
Yes. After full payment, the rights to the custom work are transferred and you will receive source code and documentation, without additional transfer costs. Another party can take over.
How long does it take?
One process is usually effective in six to eight weeks. A portal with links and multiple roles takes three to six months. The lead time mainly depends on connections and how quickly decisions are made.
Can it be linked to my existing systems?
In almost all cases with modern packages with a documented API. Sometimes not with older software, and then we say that in advance instead of making you pay for research that turns out to be no.
Can we start small?
Yes, and we usually recommend that. One fully completed process yields more than five half processes, and after a few months of use you will know better what the next step should be than on paper.
Does it also work on a phone?
Yes. We build applications that are responsive as standard, so that someone on location can do the same as a colleague behind a desk: usually with a simpler screen for the actions required while on the road.
Who will manage it after delivery?
You choose that. With a service contract from €49 per month, we do monitoring and minor changes. Without a contract, we work on an hourly basis whenever there is a problem, and another party can just as easily take over.
How much does hosting an application cost?
From €19 per month for an application without heavy loads. If there are many users or heavy processing, we look together at what is needed.
What happens to my data?
They remain yours, in an environment that is registered in your name. Upon termination, you will receive a full export in a usable format.
What if the process changes during construction?
Small adjustments are part of it and we will accommodate them. If the process changes fundamentally, then re-examining the scope is fairer than continuing to build on something that is no longer correct.
Do you also build apps for the app store?
No, not native apps. We build web applications and progressive web apps that work on any device without installation. If you really need native, we will refer you.
What is an MVP and is it something for me?
The smallest version that is really usable and from which you learn. It's wise if you don't have a clear idea of the process yet. If you know your process in detail, then delivering the entire system step by step usually makes more sense.
