Ready to start?

The projects that are overdue almost all end at the same point: delivery.

To get started you need: access to your domain and hosting, your logo in a scalable file, texts or the willingness to write them together, images, a list of desired pages and one person who makes decisions. The latter determines the lead time more often than everything else combined.

STEP BY STEP

What you prepare

  1. Access to your domainLog in details to your registrar and immediately check whether the domain is registered in your company's name. If it is in the name of an old builder, arrange that first: you can't go live without that.
  2. Your logo as a vector fileAn SVG, EPS or AI file. A JPEG of your logo will be blurry on large screens. If you only have a JPEG, please say so in advance.
  3. A list of pagesWhich pages do you want, and approximately what should be on them. No definitive texts, just the structure. This conversation determines the scope and therefore the price.
  4. Texts, or the agreement that we co-writeWriting yourself is cheaper and takes your time. Writing together costs money and is faster. Both are fine: choose consciously and not gradually.
  5. ImageryYour own photos of your work, your team or your building work better than stock photos. If you don't have one, we will choose something together that does not feel like stock.
  6. One decision makerSomeone who says yes on behalf of the company. Projects with three opinions and no decision maker take weeks to complete, and that is rarely the agency's fault.

PITFALLS

Where things go wrong

Starting without texts is the most common cause of delay. Construction is then finished and the project comes to a standstill for something no one has time for.

The second is to gradually expand the scope. Any addition is fine, but it moves the delivery date: that should be said explicitly rather than tacitly.

  • Arrange texts in advance — write or have written, choose in advance.
  • Domain in your own name — check this before starting.
  • One decision maker — determines the lead time to the greatest extent.
  • Capture scope — expansion is allowed, but it shifts the date.
  • Feedback per round — not spread loosely over weeks.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

More about the preparation

What if I don't have a logo yet?

Then you can start with a simple wordmark design and later have a real logo made. We do not design corporate identities, but we can refer you to someone who does.

Do I have to submit all texts at once?

No, per page is fine. It is useful to start with the pages that are most important, so that they are certainly completed while the rest is still running.

What if my old builder doesn't cooperate?

Your domain is with a registrar and can be requested if it is in your name. If it is in their name, then that is a conversation you need to have. We help you find out how it is arranged.
