Jobs that move forward automatically.
In transport, a request without dimensions, weight and loading address is not a request but the start of an email exchange.
A website for transport and logistics starts at €1,795, with a request form that asks everything you need for pricing. A client portal with trip status and documents is custom-made from €2,950, usually linked to your existing planning.
THE APPLICATION
Ask everything at once
Dimensions, weight, loading and unloading address, desired date, details. A form that structures this saves two emails per request, and with dozens of requests per week this adds up to hours.
We built a chain for a wholesaler in which requests automatically flowed from e-mail to CRM to quotation to invoice. The quotation time went from two days to two hours. Different subject, same structure.
- Requests by telephone and email? — Then your turnover depends on who answers the call.
- Always ask what the dimensions are? — That's work the form can do.
- Call clients for status? — Give them a portal and the phone goes silent.
- Form that interrogates completely — dimensions, weight, addresses, date.
- Distinguish between private and business — different questions, different pricing.
- Permits and certifications — visible to whoever selects it.
- Area of work and specializations — refrigerated transport, ADR, heavy transport.
- Fast on mobile — planners look along the way.
- Vacancies for drivers — with structured data for Google for Jobs.
PORTAL
Let clients watch
Where is my shipment. That's the most frequently asked question and the easiest to answer yourself: provided your planning and your portal talk to each other.
Without a connection, a portal becomes extra work instead of less work. Therefore, count the connection as part of the solution, not as an option.
- Trip status per assignment — without calling.
- Documents in one place — consignment notes and delivery notes.
- Link with your planning — otherwise it's double work.
- Multiple contacts per customer — planner and administration see both.
- History insightful — for billing control on both sides.
WHEN NOT
When this doesn't pay off
If you are stuck driving for two clients with their own system, then a portal is doubly useful. They have their own schedule and expect you to work within it.
And with a small number of trips per week, a connection does not pay for itself. Do the math before you start.
- Regular clients with their own system — connects to it instead of building on it.
- Few trips per week — the link does not pay for itself.
- Subcontracting only — then a correct basic site is sufficient.
- Well: many individual requests — that's where the profit is.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Questions from transport companies
Do you connect with our planning system?
In systems with an API, often yes. That is decisive: a portal without a link must be updated manually and will then no longer be used within a month.
Can clients submit applications themselves?
Yes, with a logged in form that already knows their details. This saves input work and errors on both sides.
Does it work on the driver's phone?
If you want: delivery receipts and photos from the road. That is tailor-made and we first check whether it suits your process.
What does it cost?
Site from €1,795, portal with custom development link from €2,950. Each additional connection from approximately €950.
