Most SaaS plans do not fail because of technology, but because they want to build too much at once.
We build SaaS products in steps: first one working version of the core process from €2,950, with real users, and only then expand based on what turns out to work. A complete platform with multiple customer environments, subscriptions and roles usually starts from €20,000.
HOW WE APPROACH IT
First working, then complete
The risk with SaaS is not that the technology does not work, but that you spend months building functions that no one uses. That's why we start with the core process: the one thing someone would pay for.
After six to eight weeks you will have something that real users can use. What you learn then determines what you build next: and in almost every project, a large part of the original wish list turns out to be redundant.
- Want to build everything at once? — Then it will take a year before anyone can use it.
- Building without users? — You then measure your assumptions, not reality.
- No idea what it may cost? — Start small and measure, instead of guessing.
- Core process first — the one thing that is paid for.
- Real users within weeks — not a demo but use.
- Multiple customer environments — separated data per customer.
- Subscriptions and roles — as soon as the revenue model has been determined.
- You own the code — no platform to which you are tied.
- Scalable design — even as it grows.
WHAT'S INVOLVED
The parts that no one mentions in advance
A SaaS product is more than the function you sell. There is registration, password recovery, billing, cancellation, data export and a management environment for yourself. That is work that always comes with it.
In addition, there are obligations as soon as you process customer data: processing agreements, retention periods and an export option. We help build that; We leave the legal test to a lawyer.
- Registration and password recovery — is part of it and takes construction time.
- Billing and cancellation — a subscription without a cancel button is a problem.
- Management environment for you — see, help, block customers.
- Data export — for your customers and for the GDPR.
- Logbook and monitoring — you want to know when something breaks.
WHEN NOT
When we are not the right party
If you are looking for a technical co-founder or someone who shares in the risk, that is not us. We build at a fixed price and carry out; that is a different agreement than helping to build a company.
And for products that require heavy real-time processing or large-scale data analysis, you are better off with a specialized team. We'd rather say that now than halfway through.
- You are looking for a co-founder — we build at a fixed price.
- Heavy real-time processing — that's what specialists are for.
- No budget for a first version — half a product tests nothing.
- The idea has not yet been defined — start with a conversation, not with building.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
More about building SaaS
What does a SaaS product cost?
A working first version of the core process starts at €2,950 and is usually between €2,950 and €8,000. A complete platform with customer environments, subscriptions and roles starts from €20,000.
How long does it take?
A first usable version in six to eight weeks. A complete platform for three to six months, with the scope being adjusted along the way based on real use.
Is the code mine?
Yes. After full payment, the rights are transferred and you will receive source code and documentation without transfer costs. Another team can take over: with a product that is your company, that is not a luxury.
Do you arrange the payments?
We build the link with a payment provider of your choice. The transaction costs run directly between you and that provider; There is no surcharge from us on that.
What if the product doesn't work?
Then you will have learned that after eight weeks instead of after a year. That's the whole reason to start this way, and it's an outcome you should dare to count on.
